WoodmenLife Chapter 241 in Carencro has partnered with the Lafayette Parish School System to replace the American Flag at the Central Office. Larry Breaux, a purchasing clerk for the school system, noticed the worn condition of the flag and reached out to the WoodmenLife chapter in Carenco. WoodmenLife is a non-profit life insurance group that has been in operation for 125 years. As part of a commitment of the group to the celebration of patriotism, WoodmenLife has donated more than 2 million flags to non-profit and community groups across the nation. Mr. Breaux’s parents, Ellis and Lou Breaux, along with WoodmenLife member Annabel Comeaux, made the presentation of the new flag to Dr. Donald Aguillard at a brief ceremony on Wednesday morning.
