Car Rider Information

GENERAL CAR RIDER TIPS/COURTESY:

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY. Having your Car Rider tag ensures that we’re dismissing the students safely.
Please don’t speed in our parking lot.
The Car Rider line begins on in the front circle off of Willow Street. Please turn RIGHT into the front circle.
Staying off your cell phone while in car rider line ensures that it can move quickly and safely.
All parents (car riders, bus riders, or extended care) must have a Car Rider tag to be able to pick up students in the car rider line. If you do not have a Car Rider tag, please visit the office with ID so we can safely dismiss your child and print a new tag if needed.
Our actions are teaching our littles. Please be mindful of how you are interacting with other adults and staff members during Car Rider. We want our Starblazers to be Safe, Thoughtful, Accountable, and Respectful. They need to see ALL OF US modeling those values!
Please remind all family and friends that are helping you with car rider drop off and pick up these rules to follow.

MORNING CAR RIDER INFORMATION:

AM Car Rider begins at 7:40 am.
After turning into the front circle, turn RIGHT onto the car rider lane. Follow all the way around JWJ's campus.
Turn LEFT into the staff parking lot. A staff member will direct you to a lane for drop off.
Please be focused while dropping off your students. Being attentive and off your cell phone ensures the line keeps moving & all students and staff members remain safe. Your child’s backpack should be packed before they get out of your car.
Students should exit your car (driver's side) quickly and safely.
AM Car Rider ENDS at 8:05 am. If you are in line after 8:05 am, report to the front office to sign in your child. Please respect our staff’s time to ensure they’re ready to receive our students for instruction at 8:10 am.

AFTERNOON CAR RIDER INFORMATION:

The Car Rider Lane will not be opened until 2:30 pm. Please do not arrive before that time or block traffic on Willow Street.
PM Car Rider will begin dismissing students at 3:25 pm.
Cars will begin entering the JWJ Staff Lot at 3:15 pm so we can begin inputting Car Tag numbers.
Please ensure your Car Rider Tag is VISIBLE and has been seen by the Golf Cart ladies. This ensures your child will be ready for pickup when you arrive at the Car Rider Pavillion.
If you do not have a car rider tag, your child will not be released to you in Car Rider line. Report to the front office with your ID.
Keep your Car Rider Tag displayed until AFTER your child is with you in the car. This ensures our Car Rider Staffers know who needs to get into the car.
If your child is not at their line when you arrive, you’ll be asked to go to Line 7. Turn RIGHT into the parking spaces and park in the 1st row. A staff member will walk your student to your car.
PM Car Rider will END at 3:50 pm. After 3:50 pm, students will be escorted to the front office. If you arrive after 3:50 pm, report to the front office to sign out your child.
