DTSMA is a 6th - 12th grade STEM Magnet Academy in the Lafayette Parish School System. We are a full Magnet Academy which means that you must apply through the lottery process with the LPSS Magnet Academies Office to attend DTSMA.
1. Use the magnet academies website to apply for the lottery and select our school as your number one choice (https://apply.lafayettechoice.com/login).

2. If your child is selected in the lottery and is currently an LPSS student, they will roll over to DTSMA at the end of the school year. You do not need to come in and register your child. Please ensure your Pathway selection is accurate on your Magnet Academies application because that is how we will identify which pathway courses to schedule.
If you are not currently an LPSS student, the DTSMA Counseling Department will reach out to you via email (listed on your Magnet Academies application) with information on how to register your child for DTSMA.
