Lafayette Parish School System to Receive $10,000 Donation to Fund Classroom Supplies and Materials

National Life Group Do Good Tour to Stop in Lafayette to Donate Time, School Supplies and $10,000 in Relief Funds to Benefit Lafayette Parish School System

As part of National Life Group’s Do Good Tour, National Life Group and ValuTeachers employees will offer assistance, supplies and a $10,000 donation to Lafayette Parish Schools.

Lafayette Parish School System schools re-opened this week after the recent floods closed schools for more than a week.  National Life Group and ValuTeachers employees are eager to support clients and their peers during a time of need.  The $10,000 donation will help replace the much-needed school and classroom supplies that were destroyed in the recent floods.

Maria McLendon of National Life Group and a ValuTeachers representative will each present a $5,000 check to Superintendent Dr. Donald Aguillard and Chief Academic Officer Annette Samec.

“LPSS is grateful for the donation of school supplies. Our community has been very generous with assisting our students and staff replacing supplies and school uniforms,” said Chief Academic Officer Samec. “We are very grateful to National Life Group and ValuTeachers for easing the burden by providing this donation as well as some replacement school supplies.”

National Life Group and ValuTeachers employees will also tour a few schools and volunteer their time to help in any way needed.
