STUDENT LEADERSHIP

What is a Bulldog Ambassadors?

Bulldog Ambassadors are unique students that hold their academics in utmost importance however they also want to help others.  They help in a number of ways including their peers.  Peer helping is based on the fact that young adults turn to their peers when they are experiencing some frustration, worry or concern. Ambassadors are born leaders that accept the responsibility and role to help their peers. Also, they serve DTSMA as exceptional school representatives.  Ambassadors are guided and supervised to provide the following:

  • listening and understanding;

  • friendship and support;

  • decision making assistance;

  • tutoring and academic help;

  • educational information;

  • role modeling for younger children;

  • mediation and conflict resolution;

  • problem-solving assistance;

  • referral to counselors;

  • community services projects.
