Consequences of Behavior Policy

The Lafayette Parish School Board has recently adopted a revised student discipline policy. The newly designed discipline policy, known as the Consequences of Behavior, establishes a structured guideline for administrators to assign disciplinary consequences for universally defined behavior infractions. The plan provides for consistency in application of consequences across the district as well as assignment of strategic behavior interventions aimed at changing student behavior. New interventions such as Saturday Intervention and Alternative to Suspension are included. Additionally, parental involvement and responsibility in the discipline process has been strengthened.

Consequences of  Behavior Policy approved by the Board on June 5, 2019.
