Ovey Comeaux High School is proud to announce our 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, Mr. Charles “IT1” Young and New Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Monica Fusilier!
IT is the Co-Director of the NJROTC Academy and has been a NJROTC instructor for 19 years. His 20 years served in the Navy have given him knowledge, expertise, and wisdom to help our students develop citizenship, service, and personal responsibility.
IT is kind, hardworking, good-natured, positive, and such an exemplary role model for both our students and our staff. We are beyond lucky to have him.
Mrs. Monica Fusilier is no stranger to OCHS, but is new to the classroom! She previously worked in the Comeaux High Guidance Department as a clerk before transitioning this school year to Biology teacher. She possesses a happy and infectious spirit, and consistently strives for personal and professional growth to become the best teacher for her students. Her dedication and passion will greatly benefit all those she instructs throughout her career in the years to come, and we can't wait to watch her #meauxmentum.
