What do our counselors do?
Our goal is to be there for the student’s needs academically, socially, and emotionally. We do this in a multitude of ways such as individual counseling, group counseling, classroom lessons, and more! We educate our students on topics such as social skills, self-esteem, emotional-regulation skills, grief, and so much more. We often collaborate with teachers and parents to make sure students can be fully supported and empowered!
It is important to note that our individual counseling sessions are often no longer than 4-6 sessions with the student. Our services are meant as a temporary opportunity to work and help the student with basic needs. More extensive counseling is something we can help make connections and referrals for your child and/or family if needed!
