Technology / Video Consent Form - Students, please make sure you have turned in your technology/video consent forms (Page 3 of your student handbooks) to your Homeroom Teachers. If you need a copy of the form, ask your teacher or check with the front office.

ACCEPTABLE USAGE POLICY Form from LPSS - Students, please make sure you have turned in your LPSS Acceptable Usage Policy form.  You may print out a copy from the link here.    AUP Form  If you do not turn in this form, your GOOGLE ACCOUNTS will be suspended. This is NOT the same as the LHS Technology / Video Consent Form above.

NATIONAL MERIT FINALIST - Congratulations to Sarah Cagle, Joseph Mouton, Jackson Munsell, Noah Prejean, Lauren Suire, and Chad Wood for being named National Merit Finalists.  Very proud of you!

DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS - Any current 9-11 grader interested in trying out for the LHS dance Team must attend a mandatory clinic on Feb 19 from 3-6pm in the dance room.  Flyers with more information are available in the bins outside the front office. 

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE - Hey Lions!! Lafayette High will have a Sadie Hawkins dance on March 18 at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy.  Tickets are $5 in advanced and $10 at the door.  See our school's mewspaper for more details.

SOCCER PLAYERS - All bags must be turned in by this Friday, Feb 24.

FOOTBALL 2017 - There will be an informational meeting Mon, Jan 30 after school in the boys gym for anyone interested in playing football next year.

CAFE des LIONS - The cafe is officially open in our LHS Library. Coffee and hot cocoa are served all day for $2 a cup. Check with your teachers first to see if they will allow in classroom.

LAFAYETTE HIGH GOT TALENT - Show will be Feb 23. Lots of fun and talent to be seen. Preshow at 6pm Tickets $8 and $12 (reserved). T-shirts are now on sale. $15 Order now. Goto Rm 108 or see a piano student.

    *** T-Shirts are in!!! If you have purchased one OR would like to purchase one, stop by Rm 108. Long Sleeve $15.

YEARBOOKS - Hey Mighty Lions!!! Waiting for the perfect time to order your 2017 Yearbook.  Well now is the time.  Order in the month of February and recieve $5 off.  Go to yearbookordercenter.com and enter CODE #16167.

GIRLS TRACK - All Girls interested in trying out for track need to sign up in Coach B's room 122.  After you sign up you will be given more tryout info.

PRIDE PERIOD - Please follow you new schedules for your Pride Period.  Seniors, if you do now have a 3rd Period on your schedule, report to the Boys Gym.

JUNIORS - Class fees will be collected in Rm 111, Ms. Migues' room on Wednesday during Pride Period.  If you are a Junior or Senior and you have not paid your junior fees, please do so at that time.  Fees are $25.  The fee will go up to $50 on Mar. 15.

SENIOR WEEK (Feb 20 -  24) -
Movie Monday:
  Dress as your favorite movie character. Jeans are ok for students today.
Top-Notch Tuesday:  "Sunday Best" NO JEANS
Wayback Wednesday:  Decades attire.  Jeans are OK for students.
Transformation Thursday:  Dress as the occupation you plan to pursue OR college apparel from the school you plan to attend. NO JEANS.
Freaky Friday:  Students dress as a teacher - teachers dress like a student. 

SENIORS -

*** Interested in taking the March ACT?  Ms. Augustus will be collecting money on Monday and Tuesday.  Price is $40.  Bring exact cash or check.  Money will only be collected on Monday and Tuesday during lunch.  Because of late registration, we will not be able to provide accommodations.

*** Any seniors interested in participating in Senior Week activities may sign up for the following events on Tues, Feb 21 - A Lip Sync Battle and Wed, Feb 22 - Are You Smarter than a 12th Grader?  Sign up outside of room 241 on the Senior Bulletin Board.

***Attention seniors... senior fee is now $50 after Dec. 1.  This fee will go up again March 1 to $60. Please pay Mrs. Guidry in Rm 241 at lunch or during 8th period.

***Academic Patches have arrived.  If you received a congratulatory letter in October stating you were a recipient of the academic letter award and patch, please come see Ms. Augustus in the counselor's office.

SENIOR SHIRTS - The senior shirts are now on sale for $15.  You may purchase them in Rm 241 (Mrs. Guidry's Room) or Rm 240 (Mrs. Allen's Room)

FRESHMEN SHIRTS - The freshmen t-shirts are in!  If you paid the class fee, but did not get a shirt, come pick up your shirt in Mrs. Ogle's Room (Rm 502)

JUNIOR SHIRT ORDERS - Orders will be taken Tuesday thru Friday of this week.  (Before school in lobby only) $7 for sizes S - XL and $9 for 2XL and above.

CLUBS / ORGANIZATIONS:

KEY CLUB / MARDI GRAS BEADS - Don't throw your Mardi Gras beads away. Key Club will be collecting them the week after Mardi Gras for LARC (Louisiana Association for Retarded Citizens).  Look for deposit box in lobby.

National English Honors Society - Meeting this Thur, Feb 23 after school in Rm 217.

POETRY OUT LOUD - Competed in the regional poetry out loud convention this weekend.  Congratulations to Olivia Vaussine and Bailey Charles for advancing to state!

GSA MEETING - Lafayette High's Gender-Sexuality Alliance will hold its next meeting on Friday, Mar 10 after school in Rm 247.  Come be a part of a safe and secure environment regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.  The only requirement to join is an open mind.

COMPUTER CLUB - Interested in Computers and Technology. Computer Club will meet Mar 8 in Rm 247 from 2:45 to 3:45.

Reminder - With weather getting colder, we can NOT have :  Sweats, Blankets, or Pillows on campus and NO Hats in Buildings ! ! ! Items will be confiscated.

NEW DRESS CODE - New dress code for the 2016-2017 School Year

      TOPS - Black Polo Style or Black/Green t-shirt purchased from LHS
      BOTTOMS - Khaki or Navy pants, shorts, or skirts (No Black)
      OUTER WEAR - Sweat Shirts/Hoodies in approved school color (Must be LHS Related)

SHORTS/SKIRTS - Shorts/Skirts/Skorts MUST BE no shorter than 4" above the knee.

PBIS T-Shirts - PBIS T-shirts may be worn any day in place of uniform black/green PoloShirts.  Can be purchased for $14.00 at Orientation

Student ID's - Be sure to wear you ID's at all times - SAFETY

Class Fees / Dues - Remember to pay your Fr/So/Jr/Sr Class fees and also your individual course fees.

All Book Bags MUST BE MESH / CLEAR
