Distribution of Flyers
Anyone wishing to distribute flyers or other information to students or employees in the Lafayette Parish School System, needs a Letter of Introduction to present to schools. Once you receive your letter of introduction, you may visit schools in the district and request permission to distribute flyers or information from the principal.

To receive a letter of introduction, please contact office of the Deputy Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer at 521-7100. You may also send your letters to P.O. Box 2158, Lafayette, LA 70502.

Event or news item - Tell us who is involved, what the news is, when is will be or was happening, where is/was it happening, and why it is/was happening or why it is/was of interest.

Example: Melinda Mangham, gifted English teacher at Lafayette High School, was invited for the second year in a row by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation to serve on the Coca-Cola Scholarship Review Board. In February 2006, Mangham will travel to Atlanta, GA to review applications of outstanding high school seniors from across the country and help to select those students who will be honored as Nation Scholars (receive $20,000 scholarship) and Regional Scholars (received $4,000 scholarship) by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. Mangham participated in the process last year. In addition, two 2005 graduates were named regional scholars by the Coca-Cola Foundation - Raimy Living, Lafayette High, and Kendall Lemelle, Northside High.
